Commitment to Safety

The College is committed to providing a healthy and safe working and learning environment for all staff, students, and visitors. Our goal is to reduce the risk of accidents or injuries and to maintain a safe campus environment.

Health and Safety Guidelines

The College follows health and safety guidelines relevant to its programs. These guidelines are reviewed annually to ensure compliance. Any concerns or breaches should be reported immediately to an Instructor, Onsite Administrator, or the Senior Education Administrator (SEA). Immediate safety concerns will be addressed promptly, while non-urgent concerns will be recorded and reviewed by the SEA within 72 hours.

Fire Safety Procedures

  1. The Onsite Administrator ensures fire suppression equipment is available campus-wide and inspected annually by a qualified professional.
  2. The Onsite Administrator ensures all employees receive training on fire suppression equipment use and fire evacuation procedures.
  3. Emergency exit instructions and route maps are posted in every classroom.
  4. In case of fire, staff will contact 911, provide fire details, and follow the operator’s instructions.
  5. Senior staff will oversee campus evacuation.
  6. Instructors will escort students to the designated safety area, where they will take class lists and report any missing individuals to the Onsite Administrator.
  7. The on-site administrator will act as a liaison with fire officials and may authorize campus closure if necessary.
  8. No one will be allowed to re-enter the campus until fire officials give clearance.

Earthquake Safety Procedures

  1. The Onsite Administrator ensures precautions are in place to prevent injuries from falling objects, such as securing cabinets and shelving.
  2. Employees receive training on earthquake evacuation procedures.
  3. Emergency instructions and exit maps are posted in each classroom, with exits highlighted.
  4. During an earthquake, all staff and students must take cover and remain under cover until the shaking stops.
  5. Once safe, all individuals will evacuate the campus.
  6. Instructors will escort students to the designated safety area, taking class lists and reporting any missing individuals to the Onsite Administrator.
  7. The Onsite Administrator will coordinate with rescue officials and may authorize college closure if necessary.
  8. No one will be allowed to re-enter the campus until clearance is given by the relevant authorities.
