Be aware of the signs that may indicate someone is struggling with suicidal thoughts:

  • Expressing hopelessness or feeling trapped
  • Withdrawal from friends, family, or activities
  • Sudden changes in mood or behaviour
  • Speaking casually or seriously about suicide, or expressing a desire to no longer be alive.
  • Giving away possessions or saying goodbye
  • Increased use of alcohol or drugs
